Rated 1 out of 5 by from Litter is like wet concrete blocks. Bad stuff! My outside cat has a foot injury and he's now staying inside. Adapted well to the littler box. I used the cheap chunky litter until my order arrived. This litter is like wet concrete blocks. It sticks to the litter that's not wet and I'm refilling the box daily. It sticks to the pan and I'm hosing down the scooper that is metal thank goodness. I've used clumping litter in the past with a plastic scooper, no way with this stuff. It comes in four ten pound bags. I'm refilling the litter box daily and used two bags in less than a week. There is no odor, you got that part right. There are lots of litter to choose from, Fresh Step will never be purchased again. I already left a review on Chewy. I googled to see if others have this problem, they have.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Clumping mess I have been using Fresh Step litter for my 3 cats for many years. I thought that maybe I had gotten a bad batch. So I bought more only to have the same issue. It does clump however it breaks apart when scooping. Urine and litter sticks to the bottom of pan and when you try to scrape it up it is a mess. Braks apart and creates tiny urine soaked litter. Not sure why the formula has changed but I will be searching for a brand that is like the old fresh step.

My poor husband just lugged SIX 42-pound cases of this home because he's having heart surgery next week and won't be able to lift much for some time. And the formulation is NOT what we've been using for YEARS! It was the best litter before, now it's a much smaller grain, significantly darker in color, and SEVERELY sticks to the bottom and sides of the litter pan, and litter scoops. Plastic scoops are worthless against the muck, and I have to use the only metal one. I'm at my wits end with this stuff! SO disappointed with Fresh Step for what they've done to the formulation! Did you expect us not to notice???

Rated 1 out of 5 by from THIS IS SCENTED, BUT DOESNT SAY IT IS No where on this box does it say "scented". Scented s not only bad for cats, but the smell makes me sick! I just wasted $20 on this litter and I can’t afford to get rid of it. I’m so mad!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as good as it used to be I have been using Fresh Step for ten years . The last 42lb package I bought is entirely different from what I have been getting in the past. It is a finer grain ,darker grey and does not work nearly as well.My two cats would not even use it for three days. I guess I will have to switch brands

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not like the formula change! We have been using Fresh Step for almost 16 years. The new formula change is terrible! My senior cat now refuses to use the box. I have cleaned up so many messes this past week. It looks like sand now and the urine just becomes the consistency of wet cement. The texture is totally different and my cat doesn't even want to step on it. We now have to find another brand!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible scent-thought it was unscented Our usual unscented litter was out of stock and we bought this after looking all over the packaging for indications that it was scented. Evidently we missed the verbiage because it is indeed scented…heavily. The smell made us sick and even our cat smells like the awful scent. Big waste of money because we had to throw it out.

It smells horrible so bad it is making my house and cats stink. I bought it because it was going to help reduce litter all over my floor, but I think I have a bigger mess.
