Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product change for kitties Whatever Fresh Step did to its product is a nightmare. It’s no longer scent free. My house smells of litter dust. The cats smell of litter dust and I have to wipe them down. More dusty and less clump action. Can anyone recommend a replacement ? Travesty to change up on cats like this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unfortunately changes I feel validated reading through these concerned reviews. I was thinking the formula had changed but wasn't sure. It does seem more dusty now (I can see dust on my cat's head when he comes out of the litter box), and I think it's been sticking to his paws more than before. He also struggles with asthma and this might be a trigger now, so im going to try another brand. I'm also wondering if my increase in allergy symptoms lately is because of this new litter formula.

Now you have changed the formula and it’s horrible. Major dust, totally different color and texture and an even more noticeable scent than previous version - never has been unscented.

You had the best product on the market. Why change it? To save a little money? Your sales will definitely be declining. I am looking for another litter.

I just spoke to a Customer Representative who attempted to insult my intelligence by saying they had not changed the formula. I can see the color change, the texture change, the decreased clumping and the cement gummy aspects of the “new formula” plus two of my cats are now experiencing some respiratory issues. I am buying new litter to find a permanent replacement litter brand now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed with a change in formula We have used this litter for the past 7ish years, since our oldest cat was a kitten. (I believe it used to be ultra unscented before they switched to simply unscented). We never ever had a problem either smelling the litter or with the cat waste. The last few bags we purchased, I smell it in my house as soon as I walk in the door. It smells like dank cat pee in clay. Very disappointed!!

I have been using Simply Unscented for many years, now will be switching to another brand litter.
